Both cottages were converted from the local stone-built stables and are “topsy-turvy”, in that the bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor and the kitchen, dining and living areas on the first floor. They are provided with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge with coolbox, microwave, toaster, kettle and general utensils, cutlery and crockery, plus a Freeview TV / DVD and a mini Hifi. Seating in the lounge is provided by a sprung mattress sofa bed, plus the dining chairs if you chose to invite some friends around to visit you. Prices include the linen, utilities, etc. Please let us know if you would like to access the wireless broadband link and we will let you know how to connect.

We provide large fluffy towels and goose and duck down pillows and duvets are offered as standard, although we can provide non-allergy bedding or blankets if you prefer.

Stable 1 features a Romeo and Juliet balcony overlooking the courtyard (watch you head when opening the French doors!), and Stable 2’s French windows open out over the mill race with views to the paddocks beyond.

If you fancy a break from cooking, we can offer breakfast in The Cornmill at £7.00 per person (please let us know the previous evening).

Both cottages are non-smoking

Hot water in the cottages is via a combi boiler. This can sometimes disconcert guest into thinking that the hot water is not on, as the taps need to be run for between 30 and 45 seconds for the hot water to appear. From a green perspective, we’re looking at what we can do in the future to eliminate this delay and waste of water, but haven’t found a great alternative yet.

Each cottage sleeps two people as there is only one bedroom (one kingsize bedded, one can be twin or super-king size bedded), however we can also provide a travel cot and a high chair on request.
